I had such a great family filled weekend! I loved my weekend. I have got to tell you more. Particularly on Saturday I attended my little nephews BDay party. SHOUTOUT! His BDay party had a Texans/Football theme. My cousin has great parties for her kids so this was just another one of those. She had the cutest little budget-friendly treat bags. A simple paper bag with stickers to form the look of a football. I loved her cake also, simple, it got the job done and fed the crowd too. Tasty! It also had little cupcakes surrounding the actual cake and a Houston Texans sheet to top it all off! Let me go on to the food. Of course there were nachos and hot dogs. The hotdogs were bacon wrapped and brought by 'Taquizas Felix'. Now I don't know how to exactly describe the experience but the purpose is to take you back to, Mexico, at least for me. Taco-Taquiza(Ta-Kee-sa). Makes sense right? LOL. So they set up Street-Style, they have styrofoam flat rectangular plates, the mini tortillas, the grill, and stay away because it gets HOTT! After getting your tacos, in this case we had the choice of beef and pastor(pork&beef) , you move on to all the fixins'. There was grilled onions, fresh onions, cilantro, cheese and lime wedges. Also in attendance was the never forgotten green and red sauces! This is an awesome trend at least in this region of the states. I have attended 3 party's this year in which this method of catering was used. This has been going on for a while, but I have noticed it is only becoming more popular throughout the years...& I love it! I don't think you need to know how many tacos I ate, but lets keep in mind they're mini-tacos so, don't judge! As far as the costs go, I believe most taquizas are reasonably priced but reasonable does not mean budget friendly. They do everything, you just make sure you are hosting the perfect party. THUMBS UP to 'Taquizas Felix'. The night ended as a whole viewing the Canelo vs. Lara match. It was not what I expected, and to Canelos' surprise, not what he expected either. I get it boxing is a-changin', but that shall be another blog-topic. Please, enjoy!
